Harold,

Are your Libraries IP's in the WebFeat Express Console (wfx.webfeat.org)?

If they are, then you wont be asked for a login because you are being authenticated as "on site" through your libraries IP addresses.

Hi, Mala.

I'll stop this thread and send you an email directly.

It appears that authentication is working for external (i.e. internet users/patrons). Internal users are not prompted for authentication -possibly due to a Microsoft trust relationship.

Do you think this is sufficient authentication?

I was able to find a page on WebFeat's web site for an authentication offering but have yet to hear back from them. Here's the link...

I'm thinking that I may be compliant as far as with WebFeat authentication. I'll have to check into our other databases though.

I would be happy to help. I coordinate the Statewide access to the Databases, including Webfeat access. I need more information on how you are set up and if access is through a Proxy server, or direct: how id your authentication set up- is it through Patron ID and pin? etc.

Greetings.

I made a web page once -back in the day when HTML was stealing the lime light from hyper text and when the phrase, "world wide web" sounded oh so cool.

That was then and this is now. Only now I've inherited a web site which needs to have authentication fixed/enable for access to WebFeat.

Please tell me where to begin.
