This week, Gina, Erin and I presented the first three workshops in Southwestern Idaho. And in addition, the weather has decided that this year is going to be a snowy year! So we have had lots of adventures getting to our three sites.

On the workshop front, they have all been well attended and everyone has enjoyed the information. Lots of networking with community leaders and each other.

At one workshop, a school librarian brought a teacher colleague who works with the Spanish-speaking students -- together they have developed a great game plan to address the issues of these students incorporating technology and the library.

Yesterday after the third workshop, I was unloading materials and putting things away when a workshop participant - who had been in Monday's workshop and was at the Commission picking up some other materials, stopped me and excitedly related how she had connected with a community leader and they had great things planned.

We still have 6 more workshops planned between now and the end of March -- I expect we will continue to see the enthusiasm build as we criss-cross the state.

Shirley
