I&#039;ll check into those places.<br /><br />While sitting and staring at the wall today, I came up with the idea of taking photos of Hispanic business owners and community leaders reading a book and posting them on our bulletin board display for the event.<br /><br />Perhaps I need to sit and stare more often.<br /><br />Carol Kotsch

Hello Carol, have you considered partnering with a Latino Organization such as Migrant Education? They would be a great resource because they would bring their families to your program. Advertising in the community will also help, and maybe churches serving Spanish Speakers would also be able to help. Also consider ESL teachers. I&#039;m planning a family night for El dia de los ninos. I&#039;d like to get a couple of well&#045;known members of the Hispanic community to read &#040;pre&#045;chosen&#041; picture books, do some storytelling and have parents and children share stories and put together a very uncomplicated streamer to wave. Any helpful hints/suggestions? I&#039;m thinking of approaching Hispanic grocery stores for help with refeshments. Our library serves the Hispanic community in Wichita, and we&#039;re struggling to get them to attend our programs.
