We're celebrating again this year, but we were not able to get a proclamation. It is really easy to participate. I'd love to see more libraries in the 2008 Champions of Learning roster. Last year, there was one---PLCMC. They got a proclamation from the Mayor of Charlotte to declare a city-wide Employee Learning Week. Putting it in words that "workforce development is everyone's business" is a step in the right direction.

During the week of Dec 3-7, the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) encourages managers and directors across organizations to recognize the importance of staff development during <a href="http://www.employeelearningweek.org/" target ="blank">Employee Learning Week</a>.
