It's Free, Right?

We all know there's no such thing as a free lunch, but thanks to the generosity of the Illinois State Library, there is free continuing education for Illinois library staff who are eligible and registered users of WebJunction Illinois. Below, you'll find a wealth of courses. You'll also notice that the majority are priced at $0 because the Illinois State Library has pre-paid all course fees for registered users. Review course enrollment guidelines.

School librarians can earn CPDU credits for the completion of WebJunction Courses.  If you are having trouble figuring out when to complete your e-learning? You may want to use the E-Learning Approval Form to formalize your e-learning experience.

Visit the WJIL Course Catalog Help page for help on enrollment, launching courses and tips on taking the WJIL courses or watch the tutorial.

The WebJunction Self-Paced Course Experience video provides a preview of the course offerings with demonstration of LibraryU, LE@D and SkillSoft courses.

Learning Takes Time

Remember to allocate enough time to complete the courses you have enrolled in. You are limited to three courses in the shopping cart, so select those courses which will bring the most value to your time commitment. Once you have completed those courses you can enroll in additional courses, always limiting your course selection to three or fewer courses.
