Thanks to the generosity of the Illinois State Library registered users of WebJunction Illinois have access to over 400 self-paced courses on a variety of topics in the WJIL Course Catalog. Most courses are free with a select few priced at $25.
Use the resources on the WJIL Course Catalog Help page and the following tips to help you get started. You may also want to watch the video tutorial on course enrollment.
1. Browse the WJIL Catalog to find relevant courses
- Browse by expanding topic areas
- Search by keyword
2. Click on the title of the Course
- This allows you to see the full description before adding it to your cart
- Note the Course Provider listed as well as the course length
3. Identify the course you would like to enroll in and click on "Add to Cart"
- Follow the instructions and screen shots from BlogJunction Illinois to complete your enrollment.
4. Launch your course
- If you enrolled in a Skillsoft or WebJunction course, you can launch your course from your My Courses link in your My Account portlet, or go to your My WebJunction link to see your course list. You do NOT need any additional user name or password to access these courses.
- If you enrolled in a UNT LE@D course, you will receive a separate user name and password by email within 24 hours. Go to your My Courses link from your My Account portlet or to your My WebJunction page to launch your course using this user name and password. If you have not received this user name and password within 24 hours of enrolling in your UNT LE@D course, contact support@webjunction.org.
5. If you have trouble launching a Skillsoft course...
- Check the Player Client System Requirements
- Run the Browser Capabilities Check
- Check the Troubleshooting Guide
- Still having problems? Contact support@webjunction.org or Skillsoft Live Chat.
- Make sure that you have the Sun Java Console enabled from your browser Add-Ons list. In IE, click on Tools -> Manage Add-Ons -> Enable or Disable Add-Ons. Check the Add-Ons currently loaded in IE and ensure that the Sun Java Console is enabled.
6. If you have trouble launching a UNT LE@D course...

- Contact support@webjunction.org or lead@unt.edu
- NOTE: When a UNT LE@D course launches, multiple browser windows are opened. If you do not think the course has launched, check your system tray for additional windows and maximize them.
7. When you have completed a course
- Please use the Course Review button in your My Courses list to provide recommendations and tips to other users.
