Take It to the Street: School and Public Libraries Collaborate to Serve an Urban Community was a LSTA grant.  Its purpose was to support a collaborative effort between school and public libraries to provide a community with greater access to library programs, activities and resources.  This effort was lead by two Chicago Public Schools librarians, Regina Berg and Sonja Terry, later joined by a third school librarian, Dr. Bernia Womack.  Berg and Terry co-wrote the fiscal year 2008 LSTA grant.  They envisioned an annual opportunity to informally talk to families about library services, programs and resources available in their community.
