Revision of Library System Standards and Rules

A revision of the Standards for the Services of Illinois Multitype Library Systems is underway. Input from the library community is a very important part of the process. The administrative rules for the library systems will also be revised.

Effective July 2009, a separate blog has been set up for reviewing and commenting on the documents developed by the Library System Standards Committee.   All comments should be added on the Library System Standards blog, now instead of on WebJunction Illinois.  Earlier comments are still available here.

Illinois Regional Library Systems are membership-based, regional organizations consisting of academic, public, school, and special libraries. Illinois is served by ten library systems, each providing services to participating libraries in its region. Statewide, over 5,000 libraries of all types and sizes are members of library systems
