SteadyState and FrontPage 2003
3:54 PM EDT 4/7/08
This one has me baffled. Users cannot log in and open a FrontPage web if they are logged in to the public profile. If I log in as the admin it works fine. Any ideas on what could cause this behavior? I tried to turn off the all the restrictions in SteadyState for the public profile but it still does not work. Any ideas?

Not sure why the posts aren't showing up but...

I did figure this issue out a while back and I want to update. After many moons of searching for an answer, I figured out that the proxy server we use (Squid) has an issue with the way that FrontPage authenticates and logs into the server. When logging in as admin the proxy server is not being used and FrontPage works fine. This led me to believe that it had something to do with user rights/SteadyState. Newer versions of Squid apparently address this issue.
