WebJunction Staff Training in Libraries: 2007 Fact Sheets
9:15 PM EDT 4/29/08
We are very pleased to share our newest publication, the Staff Training in Libraries: 2007 Fact Sheets. These fact sheets provide a snapshot of how public and academic libraries support, deliver and evaluate staff training programs. The data in these fact sheets were collected from over 300 libraries that were randomly selected to participate in a Web-based survey from May 15 to July 1, 2007. Highlights include key findings on how staff training is provided in terms of training formats, ROI, performance and dollars spent.
We would love to hear how you are managing staff training in your library. What kinds of training formats are offered for library staff? Have you participated in any blended learning activities? If you are in a management role, do you tie in staff training initiatives with performance reviews? We encourage you to use this space to share your stories, ideas and thoughts around staff training in the library. And we hope that you will find these fact sheets valuable as you examine your library's staff training programs.
