Is WiFi now considered a necessary service by most libraries, especially public libraries?

Hello--
Maybe. We've had it in Waterloo and Cedar Falls for about 2 years with a major upgrade last winter. In our state we have 543 public libraries--400 of which have service populations of <2500--which means that many can't quite figure out how to do it. I've been asked to do some training, but just don't have the time.

I would say most definitely. Especially for the younger generation its vital, at least to keep them interested.
